50 years ago, in Santa Rosa, the average priced home sold for $23,000. But what about correcting for inflation? In today’s dollars, that average priced home would be $125,000. Why is the average priced home in Santa Rosa now around $650,000, or more than 5X more than the average home of the early 1970’s?
